What does real estate rental management usually cost, and what do they do?
I’m thinking of buying a rental, but I don’t want to hassle with renters, etc., and I’m wondering what it usually costs, and what all they do?
For instance, if my renter calls to report a leaky toilet, do I get the call & set up a repairman, or does the management company do that?
(obviously I realize I pay for the repair…)

10 % + is the going rate. There are management companies that do nothing but manage. They handle everything. Might be a good way to go if you are new to the whole landlord/tenant process. There are real estate companies that do this also (some even specialize in this). And do remember, that everything is negotiable.
